Amy is a licensed yoga therapist specializing in helping people with sensitive bodies to move, breathe and feel better. Her own experience of living with a hypermobility disorder (hEDS) has led her to a deep understanding of how therapeutic yoga can enhance her client's lives, who want to learn how to do things just a little bit differently.
Amy first discovered the healing nature of yoga in 2002 while searching for something to help with a long list of persistent and confusing health challenges. Knowing she had found something very special, she could not help but share what she was learning with others and fell in love with teaching students of all ages who share her love of healing the body from the inside out.
Amy holds an undergraduate degree in Education and a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston College. She completed her 200-hour teacher training with Johnny Gillespie of Empowered Yoga/Balanced Athlete and her certification program in Yoga Therapy with Susi Hately of Functional Synergy. Amy is certified in both Energy Healing and myofascial release.
Specializing in Hypermobility, she is passionate about helping people find their own unique path to wellness. She is always focused on healing and prevention, and empowers her students to go at their own pace and listen to their own inner wisdom. Fun and compassion are at the heart of her every connection!
